Eggnog
And what I dislike about it
1. I think it's made of raw egg. So what it's been pasteurized? It's still gross.
2. It smells funny.
3. It tastes funny (to me).
4. People expect you to drink it out of Holiday Spirit. But I don't have to like it or drink it.
If you like eggnog, then don't take this offensively. I think it's a great thing to have around the holidays. I just don't like the taste.
I like eggnog, but I agree that the thought of it being made with raw eggs is disgusting.

ReplyDeleteWhen eggnog is badly made, the texture can seem slimy.
I hate raw nutmeg by itself. Many people overdo the nutmeg when making eggnog.
Final guess why many EN recipes are unpleasant: this is an item most people serve just once a year. People who do not
like it usually keep quiet so as not to spoil the holiday mood.
So, bad eggnog recipes go uncorrected year after year.
