Why Tangled Sucked

This is a post on why I didn't like Tangled, the Disney movie. And in case you're wondering, I did not just see the movie. I saw it when it came out on DVD. But people are still hyping about it and also annoyingly comparing it to Frozen, so here's my review. Here's why I didn't like it.

1. Rapunzel was fucking annoying.

Yeah. I said it. Rapunzel was the epitome of a typical Disney princess with mainly the annoying traits standing out. She looked just like Ariel in the face and acted like her too, only Ariel was somehow less annoying. She had flaws and a good reason for her rebellious behavior. Rapunzel was just plain annoying. At first she's cute and everything but then she tries to act all tough with the frying pan shit. Instead of it being a desperate, failed attempt at being tough- which would have made her character more consistent and cute- she acted like a fucking bitch. She tried to be tough AND cute, and it just came out wrong. In Frozen, Anna tried to act all tough when talking to Kristoff- when she asked him to take her to the mountains- but it was obvious she didn't know how to act tough and it was written to make it look like she was trying to be tough but failed, which is what they should have done with Rapunzel if they wanted her to be cute. If Anna had acted cute in the beginning but then acted like a bitch when she wanted something- the way Rapunzel did, she would have also been annoying. Instead, Anna got her way because she made a deal with Kristoff. (I know Rapunzel made a deal too, but that frying pan didn't hurt in her getting her way.)

Using the pan to get her way

Being a total bitch

Anna was also more reasonable in dealing with people, by trying to talk to them- not hitting them with a frying pan or singing and dancing. She in no way was violent- like Rapunzel, nor annoying like Rapunzel. What made Rapunzel so annoying was she got everything she wanted and didn't have to work. Rapunzel's only given flaw is that she's a bit clumsy. It was supposed to add to her "cuteness" and it did, but to be likable, she had to have other traits. Anna was clumsy, but had other flaws, such as awkwardness and traits people could relate to. When she acted silly, it was cute and funny. Rapunzel tried too hard to be "cute" and ended up super annoying. And when she acted silly, it was often cringeworthy. She tried too hard to be "perfect." She suddenly got smart at the end when she realized she was tricked by Gothel. She was basically like the old Disney Princesses, only they made her tough to say she was different from other Disney Princesses, and her character was just a fail. The writers tried way too hard to make her cute. She was soooo annoying!!!!

2. Rapunzel was too slow at realizing she was the Princess.

I'm sure she knew about the "lost Princess." Then every year, the lanterns floated from the Castle ON HER FRICKING BIRTHDAY. AND she found that fucking tiara. When could she fucking put two and two together? She was so slow at realizing SHE was the fucking Princess.

3. She and Flynn were a bad couple.

I actually did like Flynn. He was a little predictable, but a better character than Rapunzel for sure. I think he and she fell in love too fast. And it was obviously supposed to be a "opposites attract" relationship, but it just wasn't developed enough. I think Flynn was more like a brother to Rapunzel. He also looked too old for her... Their relationship was just rushed too much at the end. Also, didn't Flynn say at the thugs' bar that he didn't sing or dance? When he got to town, he danced with Rapunzel and in the boat, he sang with her. So... what the fuck, Flynn? You're a thief AND a liar?
Kristoff and Anna's relationship was so much better. They obviously didn't agree with each other when they first met, but they had some chemistry and had potential for a good relationship. Plus, I think pretty much every other Disney Princess sang and/or danced with their prince, but Kristoff and Anna didn't have to. They didn't need to be won over with a stupid duet. They fell in love in a way more realistic way than not only Rapunzel and Flynn, but every other Disney Princess couple.

4. The ending.

The ending came too soon. It was rushed and underdeveloped. Also, I hate how Gothel is always deemed by fans as not that bad, or really really evil. She was selfish and had evil intentions, sure, but she wasn't the worst villain ever. And she wasn't good either, but I just don't think she deserved to die in the end. And I know she was evil, but Rapunzel lived with her for 18 fucking years thinking she was her daughter and when Gothel died, Rapunzel wasn't even the tiniest bit sad. Talk about cold-hearted. I know Gothel wouldn't deserve pity or sadness from Rapunzel after her death, but if Rapunzel had a heart, she would have been a bit saddened. Jesus. Also, I think Gothel after all these years would also have a little soft spot for Rapunzel too. She never shows if she did or didn't, but the writers should have made it look in the end like Gothel never liked Rapunzel even a tiny bit. I know that was supposed to be implied- that she was only using her and everything, but Gothel never said anything that hinted that at all. People just assume she didn't care for Rapunzel because they know the writers meant for it to be that way. It's never actually shown anywhere that Gothel had absolutely no feelings for Rapunzel. It should have been written so it was way clearer.

5. The Music

It was okay. It was tolerable. Listening to it was pleasant. It didn't make me cringe or wish for it to be over. It was enjoyable as you listen, but afterwards, you just don't remember the songs. I can't remember anything about how they sounded. I know the titles, and some lyrics, but the songs just weren't unique or memorable. I know every song from Frozen. Even after listening to them once. Even just listening to "Let It Go" from the commercials made that song stuck in your head. Every song was memorable, even the crappier songs like "Fixer Upper." The music in Tangled was basically a fail. I don't know if Alan Menken just stopped giving a fuck or he thought it was good or he was just thinking, "I'm Alan Menken. Everyone will love the music, no matter what!" I don't know. It just wasn't good.

6. It was too much like Barbie as Rapunzel.

Disney tried to sue another company for just using the name Snow White, when they themselves didn't even come up with that, yet they stole sooo much from Barbie's Rapunzel. In both movies, Rapunzel has a pink and purple dress, she has a reptile friend, her fake mother's name is Gothel, they're both secretly the Princess and they both paint. Disney so obviously stole the thing about painting. I think the Barbie Rapunzel had a better plot and the villain was more evil and the main character was way less obnoxious. Anyway, anyone who's seen the Barbie Rapunzel probably agrees with me.

7. Pascal was the smartest character.

Who would disagree that Rapunzel was kind of a dimwit? She unrealistically got smart at the end, but throughout most of the movie, she was a dumbfuck. I don't think Mother Gothel was all that smart either. I don't know why I feel that way. She didn't do anything particularly stupid or smart. She just seemed like the stupidest Disney villain in a long time. And Flynn... He obviously didn't use his brain all that much. I know he had to be somewhat clever to be the biggest thief in Corona, but if he was in today's world, he would be a jock, which pretty much equals brainless. And his logic at the end when he cut Rapunzel's hair made no fucking sense. I know they wanted him to make a sacrifice and all, and he obviously meant well, but he really put no thought into his plan. First off, where the Hell did he get the blade to cut her hair? Was it part of the dagger Gothel used to stab him, because if so, that's pretty gross for Rapunzel that she got her hair cut with a bloody knife covered in guts. And second, why couldn't he wait for her to heal him and then cut her hair? Because there's nothing Gothel could have done after that. She wasn't planning on killing Rapunzel or anything. Instead she probably would have sent Rapunzel and Flynn away and stopped taking care of Rapunzel. Then Rapunzel and Flynn could have left the forest and lived together or gone to the palace or something. What did Flynn think would happen to Rapunzel if he died? He cut her hair so she couldn't heal him and she could be free from Gothel, but then what did he think would happen? Where would naive Rapunzel go? I think she'd be screwed on her own without him.
This has nothing to do with Flynn's stupidity, but I just want to say- didn't he get stabbed in the gut? He conveniently took a Hell of a long time to die.
Pascal was the smartest character, which I think makes the others look pretty fucking pathetic. He communicated with Rapunzel, put Maximus in his place, and essentially killed Gothel, or at least sped her death up a bit.
So yeah... The characters seemed pretty f-ing stupid.

I  know she'd been locked away all her life, but shouldn't she know what the fuck a crown is?

Even if Anna was a little naive, at least Frozen had at least one intelligent character.

8. The title made no sense.

Tangled? I know she has long hair, but of course she was too perfect to get a single tangle. Did you mean metaphorically, Disney? Because that would mean the story or some aspect to it was messed up, confusing, or complicated and that doesn't make sense to the plot of the movie either. So what the Hell is that supposed to mean? Maybe it would make more sense if anything went wrong for the main characters, but of course everything worked out perfectly for them throughout the whole movie, so nothing was metaphorically "tangled."
The title for Frozen made way more sense. Hans had a frozen heart and so did Elsa in a way, the beginning starts with ice men chopping frozen ice for the ice business, three songs on the soundtrack use the word "frozen," after Elsa's powers were revealed, the kingdom was basically frozen, and at the end, Anna herself is literally frozen. And to some extent Olaf probably counts as being literally frozen too.
So yeah... The word "tangled" has absolutely nothing to do with the plot of Tangled. "Tangled" would make a better title for Frozen than it did for Tangled, even while Frozen had nothing to do with hair.
Now that I think about it, Rapunzel rolled around in her hair a few times and basically got "tangled" in it. That important part of the movie makes "Tangled" the perfect title! Now it all makes sense! (I'm being sarcastic, of course.)

9. Rapunzel's life had already begun.

She sings "when will my life begin?" but as she sang, it's shown through the various activities she does that she has plenty of things to do. She painted, did puzzles, baked, and played guitar (and of course she had to do them all perfectly). Her only ambition that she couldn't reach was seeing the lanterns up close, and her skills of painting and baking were way more important. Then after the boat scene, she claims her "new dream" is Flynn, which again is less important than her skills. But I guess she doesn't think so. Like I said, she wasn't too bright, so whatever.
I'm not saying Flynn wasn't important. I'm not being some feminist weirdo saying she doesn't need a man. Love is important. But she should have other goals in life that he should support. He shouldn't BE her dream. She obviously had tons of skills, but her only dreams were to see the lanterns and be with Flynn, two things she didn't need to do work for.

10. Rapunzel, like Flynn, is a liar with bad logic.

When she's held hostage by Gothel, while she makes the deal with Gothel to heal Flynn and then stay with Gothel forever, she says she'll never stop trying to get away from Gothel, but that everything can be the way it was before. That makes no sense. If everything was the way it was before, Rapunzel has to stay with Gothel, meaning Rapunzel can't even try to escape. She obviously didn't think her words through very well.

This isn't related to Rapunzel's bad plan, but I just want to mention it while we're talking about her being held hostage at the end. Like I said, she had an unrealistic level of hostility towards Gothel considering she thought she was her mother for 18 years. I know she got used and that would piss me off too, but neither Gothel nor Rapunzel showed any hatred or disagreements with each other until the end- just to make Gothel look like the bad person. I know Gothel had bad intentions, but like I said, I think Rapunzel should have still cared for her a tiny bit even after getting screwed over. They got along perfectly fine before Rapunzel realized that Gothel wasn't her real mom and then the two suddenly acted like they hated each other. Gothel could have possibly been acting during the first 18 years of Rapunzel's life- although probably not, but I think Rapunzel genuinely cared for Gothel until she realized Gothel lied to her. Being pissed is one thing, but not caring when Gothel died made Rapunzel look like a real bitch. I'll admit she looked slightly concerned when Gothel fell out the window and I know Flynn's life was on the line at that moment and was more important, but anyone in Rapunzel's place who actually had a good heart and/or a conscious would forever feel bad about Gothel's death. Once Rapunzel got to the palace at the end, she completely forgot all about Gothel and obviously didn't give a shit. Speaking of her going to the palace at the end, how did her parents recognize her if her only distinct trait as a baby was her beautiful golden hair? And after what Rapunzel went through, I'd think she'd be reluctant to trust people for a while, but the first thing she does is hug a couple of strangers because they claim they're her real parents. Like I said, she's not very smart.

So in conclusion, it wasn't the worst movie ever, but it wasn't great. Frozen was so much better. The animation in Tangled was great, I'll admit. The character designs were nice, the colors were vibrant, the buildings were beautiful, and they probably worked really fucking hard on Rapunzel's hair. My main complaints were they tried too hard to make Rapunzel cute and she was just annoying, the songs basically sucked, the ending was rushed, Flynn and Rapunzel had no chemistry,  Gothel is always considered really horribly evil which she wasn't or not that evil (she was evil), and it was too similar to Barbie's version of Rapunzel which no one gives a shit about.
There were some things that were good, which I'll briefly mention. The plot was pretty well written. And I think it's good that Rapunzel's hair was magical, which explains why she couldn't cut it and why she got kidnapped as a baby, two things never really explained in any other Rapunzel story. I think Pascal was okay, even though Maximus was annoying as fuck. Flynn was a pretty good character, even though he got kind of sappy at the end. And the last thing I want to mention is, the healing tear thing. Everyone thinks it was cliche, but I think they forgot that in the original story of Rapunzel, the prince goes blind and Rapunzel cries into his eyes and he can see again. At least in Tangled, she had magic in her and it could be explained why it healed him.
Anyway, the movie was okay, but overhyped and I feel that Disney didn't put as much effort into it as they could have, but at the same time they seem overly proud of it. And that's kind of fucked up.
That's about all I have to say.

A Rant

Goddamnit. I'm so pissed off. My friend Ben and I know this person, and she always gets on my nerves. He wrote a post on her. It's the same person I'm pissed at right now. She's so stupid. And she's a spoiled brat. She got everything she wanted as a kid and an adult. She goes on about her "crappy" childhood, saying it justifies her getting whatever she wants now, but it doesn't.
She acts like she's so hardworking, but she's not. All she did was marry and have kids and she thinks she deserves the same respect as someone who got a job, or someone who donates to charity, or someone who's really smart. She's not smart- she's a fucking r-tard. She went to college, but didn't bother to get a job. She got a degree, and she thinks that's enough to make her look smart. She could have gotten a job, but she just leeches off her husband and even her one of her kids. She sits around all day and pretends she's doing stuff when really all she does is sit on her ass and play video games and eat junkfood, which is why she's so fat and stupid. And she always has to get her way because she's a bully. She's never grateful and she's a hypocrite. She's condescending, rude, and a fucking douche. And as Ben mentioned in his post, she wanted to be an author but blames her kids on why she never succeeded. Now that her kids are grownup, she's going back to writing, but she hasn't gotten much further, because she's an uncreative lazy f***.
She's also nosy as Hell. She always pries into other peoples business but when she wants to keep something to herself and people pry her, she gets all defensive and bitchy about it. She's selfish and a big fat bitch. She sucks so hard and she doesn't even see it!!! Even though she always does nasty things to people and in her mind, she won the fight, it's really only proof to me that she is indeed the motherf***ing ass**** I know she is! Even if she's a rotten person and it sucks for the rest of us, it puts things in perspective and makes me glad I'm not like her. But sometimes the satisfaction of being the better person doesn't seem worth it. I'd never stoop to her level, but I wish she had a taste of her own medicine.
In conclusion, she's a bitch and a bully and she's so selfish she'll never see it. Ben said to her that she'll always think she's better than him, and she agreed. She didn't seem to get that he was saying she wasn't better than him. She's so full of herself, and like most assholes in the world, life's been good to her while Ben and I put up with so much shit. I know that sounds self-pitying, but we're trying our best and it's so tempting to just throw it all away and stop trying since no one seems to give a rat's ass.
My life is pretty good, but it's not perfect, and I've been bullied most of my life by this person (the person this post is about) but still try to look at the good things in life. She, on the other hand, is never grateful for anything, even though she gets everything she wants. She sucks so much, yet she thinks she's perfect. She's also a fat r-tard, like I said before. She's a fat asshole like Eric Cartman from South Park, only worse because she's older than me and actually has authoritah.
Okay, I'm done ranting. I'm pretty sure only a few people will be able to relate to this, but I hope if those people are reading this, they're glad to know there are other people who feel the same way as them.

Another Post on My Dislike For Lorde

I know everyone has a boner for her so I'm probably going to get a lot of hate, but she annoys the shit out of me. Like I've said, she just criticizes other pop singers and I think she's just jealous. I hate that she calls herself a "feminist" for dissing people JUST because they sing about love. Kind of how like for Disney, people call the classic princesses anti-feminist because they fell in love. They were anti-feminist because they had no goals and just cleaned and cooked and let themselves be exploited. And I don't even know if that was anti-feminist or not since the people who exploited them were ALSO women. But anyway, back on the subject.
Just because Lorde has no love songs doesn't mean she's "feminist," like she and the fucking world seems to think. Newsflash to half the world: Falling in love doesn't make you anti-feminist!!! I understand why she's against current pop music, because to be honest, some of it's pretty bad, but her music is no better. Plus, the music she's criticizing for being "anti-feminist" isn't anti-feminist. And why is she only criticizing girls for it? She's criticized Taylor Swift for being "too perfect" and setting the standards too high for girls, which isn't Taylor's fault, she criticized Selena Gomez's "Come and Get It" song for being feminist, when it wasn't. It was a love song. But I guess I should give Lorde a break since she's too ignorant to realize love doesn't equal anti-feminism. She dissed Lana Del Ray for being anti-feminist when she isn't either. Oh wait! She sings about love. That must mean she's anti-feminist! (Sarcasm intended.)
I kind of have to wonder... Has Lorde even heard of Kanye West? His lyrics are sexist as Hell. And I'm pretty sure she's heard "Blurred Lines" plenty of times as we all have (for me it was against my will). Those lyrics weren't exactly putting women in a good light.
If women are happy just cleaning and cooking, or not getting jobs, or being eye candy, isn't it okay? I want to encourage women to get jobs and not be offensively oversexualized like today's society does, but women being anti-feminist is way better than men doing it. I know that probably sounds unfair. If women can be anti-feminist, why can't men, right? It's more acceptable for women because at least you know they're happy that way. Men being anti-feminist comes off as they don't care about women's feelings or happiness, and that's probably the case. And even if you think it's equally wrong to be anti-feminist for men and women, that actually further proves why these anti-feminist male singers should be getting criticized too.
This is a little off the subject, but I just want to mention Miley Cyrus's VMA performance. I hate to defend Miley, but why is she the only one getting criticized for grinding on Robin Thicke? He was fine with it. He probably enjoyed it. If she's anti-feminist or gross for doing it, why not him? People want to call the girl anti-feminist for that, but not the guy, which ironically makes them sound sexist. Anyway, back on the subject.
Lorde is arrogant- she calls herself "Lord(e)" after all- and she's not feminist. She can call herself that- and people will mindlessly believe her and call her smart for it- but she isn't feminist. She's a loudmouthed arrogant hypocrite.
I know this post is really long and shit. I'm almost done. I just want to mention Lorde's win of the Billboard Music Awards. She got Top Rock Song. She's not rock. I already hated her way before the awards. But when I watched it and found out she was even in the rock category, it just pissed me off even more. Even if I liked her, she is NOT rock. Rock now days is so mainstream-y and pop-influenced, (which also annoys me) but even that kind of rock is more rock than Lorde. She's NOT ROCK. Whoever chose the categories was retarded. She's not rock, and neither was half the shit in the rock category. It was so insulting she WON, because she's not rock!!! I love rock music, even the mainstream pop-rock of today. I know Lorde is NOT ROCK. I know it's stupid to bitch about, and I'll admit this complaint is just a personal one. But it still pisses me off and I find it worth mentioning. The least it can do it point out the stupidity of the people who put the people in the categories at the Billboard Music Awards.
I'll say it one more fucking time. LORDE... IS... NOT... ROCK!!!!!!!!! Avril Lavigne, The Pretty Reckless, Evanescence, Bon Jovi, and Blink 182 are true rock. Not indie-pop shit like Lorde's music. (Even if I liked Lorde's music, it would still be indie-pop shit in my opinion.) I know none of these rock artists I mentioned have done anything recently, except for Avril Lavigne, but that's not a good excuse since fucking PSY was nominated at the Billboard awards and he has done shit since last year. It proves the idiots who chose the categories at the Billboard Music Awards don't know what rock music is. Maybe Imagine Dragons is indie-rock, but I'm pretty sure Passenger is not rock of any kind. I've never heard of Capital Cities. Maybe they're rock. I don't know. But I know Lorde is NOT.
In conclusion, Lorde is an obnoxious bitch who can't keep her mouth shut and who had to go ruin rock music.

-Lilly J.

P.S. I know this is mean, I admit it, but Lorde's hair looks like pubic hair and she dances badly. Also, goths are fucking weird.

Does she like looking like she's possessed or having a seizure?
(And yes, even if I liked her, I'd still be asking this.)

Proof that Schools Today are Messed Up

What the Fuck is up with schools these days? The education system sucks balls. Students are learning useless crap. It's all just busy work. So many people made it through college, yet the majority of people in America are MORONS. Doesn't that say something?
Let's start with MY school, shall we? Just so you know I have proof that the schools are fucked up.
Yesterday, my class was taking the new SBA test. It's the new common core test that is now going to be on the computers. (Another sign the education system is fucking up. We don't need more online classes, damnit!!!!) Anyway... The teachers in the room had some technical difficulties with the computers and said we might have to all start over. (Luckily I wasn't very far yet, but some people were.) They were wrong fortunately, but they had no computer/technology skills whatsoever. Maybe it's not their job, or whatever, but they're supposed to be setting a good example for the students. And here's where it gets kind of ironic. On the wall in that very classroom, there's a list of things they want the students to become and one of the things was "Technology Literate Adults." Need I say more?
Here's the next thing about my school I wish to complain about. In the hallway, there's a poster for the fire department class and the caption says, "Rushing In While Others Running Out." It was bad grammar. Very bad grammar. I'm sure it was the students who wrote it, not the adults, although I'm not sure how much more acceptable that makes it since we're in HIGH SCHOOL. But anyway... The kids at my school aren't the brightest so I'm not surprised by the mistake really. What surprises me is that one of the adults didn't even notice it was bad grammar. Obviously an ADULT had to print out the poster. They didn't notice. Teachers walk past it every day. They don't notice. I truly think I was the first to say out loud that it was bad grammar. I said that to my teacher who did agree, but I don't think he would have noticed it otherwise. That proves how unobservant my school is.
Here's more proof the teachers aren't setting good examples. During the test yesterday, the teachers found a pack of gum on the floor. Did they ask who it belonged to? No. Did they try to return it? No. Did they take it to the school lost and found? No. Did they just leave it on a desk in case someone came back for it? NO. You know what they did? They opened the package, took a piece of gum, and chewed it. Great example, since the students themselves aren't allowed to have gum.
You've probably had enough of my rambling. Just one last thing I'd like to bitch about. During the test, I was sitting next to a friend. I was finished and they weren't. I was looking at them, and then a teacher came over and said I should move. They said they didn't think I was cheating, but I should move to another computer and pass the time since I was done. I did. Maybe they thought I'd be a distraction, but it was kind of ridiculous. I don't think it looked even remotely like I was fucking cheating. But what really pisses me off is that a few months ago, during the STAR testing, I saw two girls talking to each other during the test. They weren't trying to "cheat" but they were obviously talking out the answers with each other and I don't think they understood it was a standardized testing. No one caught them. If I had known their names I would have told on them. But I didn't. I almost see how it happened, because the SBA was in a very small room and the STAR testing was in the gym with dozens of students, but come on, teachers! You should have seen those two girls cheating. That pisses me off to no end and will probably bother me for the rest of my life.
Anyway, the school system is fucked up. Teachers set bad examples and the core curriculum is just useless busy work that will NOT help students become intelligent, will NOT prepare them for college, and will NOT help them in their fucking futures.
Thanks for listening.

ObamaCare

Yes, this post will be insulting Obama. And I know that it's obvious I'm more conservative, but just so you know, I hate Republicans and Democrats. I also don't like Obama, but it isn't because he's a Democrat. He just lied to our faces and stupid Americans voted. I didn't vote for him. Anyway... even if I had liked him or tolerated him- which I didn't, but if- I would hate him now. Recently, my family got screwed over by ObamaCare. Even if you love Obama, you can probably say that the Affordable Care Act contributed to the loss of your healthcare plan. Losing our plans is bad enough, but what makes it worse is Obama stated like thirty times that WE COULD KEEP OUR PLAN!!! I never believed him, but a lot of Americans don't look into the facts and if they just turned on TV and heard the President say, "With the Affordable Care Act, you can keep your plan. Period" then they probably thought it sounded like a great idea. Even though I personally wouldn't believe Obama, I don't blame the American people for thinking ObamaCare sounded good. Ironically, it was supposed to help Americans afford healthcare and now thousands- maybe millions- can't afford healthcare because of ObamaCare. To be honest, it's not like Obama had to glorify ObamaCare that much anyway, since he forced it through Congress and then forced it on the American people. Anyway, it pisses me off. The government is so f***ed up, and it has been for years- not just since Obama's administration, but mostly. Bush and Clinton f***ed things up too.
What I dislike the most about Obama is he f***ing lies to us. He said he would lower gas prices- but gas prices more than doubled during his administration and it's only getting worse. He said he would lower the deficit but that didn't happen. He said he would create new jobs for Americans, but he doesn't even have the power to "create new jobs" so that was an obvious lie. I guess it wasn't so obvious since so many people voted for him, but whatever. He didn't created new jobs. He said we could read the bills before they were made official which sounds great but was obviously a f***ing lie as well. And like I said, he lied about ObamaCare, and I think he knew it. For the other things, I'm not sure he purposely lied. But I think he DID lie on purpose about ObamaCare, because if it was really intended to help Americans, he wouldn't have needed to force ObamaCare on us. And like I said, even if you did or still do love Obama, he probably f***ed you with ObamaCare. A lot of people who used to believe in Obama now hate him because of ObamaCare, and I'm not making that up. It's true. Many Americans were screwed over just like me and they DID get pissed at Obama. These people included Democrats.

The Kid Is Alright, The Episode Wasn't

The Simpsons aired a new episode a few weeks ago called "The Kid is Alright." It was about Lisa befriending a Republican. I hate it for so many reasons, which is why I am writing this post. Note that this post will probably only make sense to those who have watched the episode. Anyway, here's why I hated it.
First off, they're encouraging people to dis and stop being friends with people who are of a different political party. Liberals and conservatives- mostly liberals- are already doing that, so why encourage that? Another reason is, eight year olds should NOT be deciding if they're Republicans or Democrats. When Lisa said that in the episode, it looked like they were going to actually make a good point, but of course, they had to add the joke of Isabel's father having a monopoly, just because he's a Republican. But then again, the series has always been filled with plots and jokes based on stereotypes, which really annoys me, but I guess it was no surprise.
Another thing is, Lisa's mother, Marge, said Isabel was going through a "Republican phase" or something. Parents shouldn't force their political views on their children. I know Lisa would be liberal anyway, but Marge should have said that Isabel and Lisa should be friends no matter what their views are. But no, of course she didn't. No one in the entire episode made that point. Also, in the episode, the writers showed Lisa moping about having a Republican friend, but they didn't bother to show Isabel's side. She obviously didn't like liberals, but she didn't whine about it as much as Lisa. Even though she supposedly told her parents about Lisa being liberal, the writers didn't bother showing us what she said. As far as we know, she could have been whinier than Lisa- if that's possible, or she could have said it in a non-biased unwhiny perfectly normal way. I guess we'll never know, because the writers were being biased.
Liberals definitely played the victim in the episode, which is so wrong. And if it was real life, Lisa would have won the debate. Liberals control the media and most of the minds of people in America. Even if liberals deny it, they know it's true and they love every minute of it.
Another things is, the writers were trying to make fun of the fact Isabel was Hispanic, but here's a few reasons why that was stupid. First- Lisa was so surprised when she heard Isabel had a Spanish last name. Lisa and most liberals are so stupid they think ethnic people can't be Republicans!? Also, shouldn't Lisa be able to tell someone's ethnicity without having to hear their last name? And does Isabel having a Spanish last name MEAN she's Spanish? No. The funny thing about Isabel being Spanish was that the writers were trying to make conservatives look bad with that joke, but obviously made the liberals look bad instead. They made the liberals sound racist and ignorant, plus they made the point Republicans could be ethnic. The writers attempt to make liberals look good in that part of the episode was a fail.
Another thing is, although this is off the subject a little and not as serious an issue as the other stuff I mentioned about this episode, I think it was stupid that Lisa and Isabel didn't know the other person's political views until the live debate, even though they supposedly worked on it TOGETHER beforehand. As I said before, they shouldn't stop being friends because of different views. This episode definitely encouraged intolerance, which I know wasn't the point of it. So again, the writers failed.
If Isabel and Lisa had tried to be friends anyway, but realized they disagreed way too much and argued constantly, THAT would be a good reason to call the friendship off. But that's not what happened. They backed off the SECOND they knew of the others' political views. If the Simpsons writers actually thought this episode promoted good messages, they are DEAD WRONG. They only promoted intolerance, ignorance, and judging people based on stereotypes and not knowing the person. That is so wrong.
I know you might think I'm being biased, and yes, I'll admit I'm more on the conservative side of politics, but I do think some of what liberals stand for is okay. I just think the way liberals are today is ridiculous. They control the media and are impervious to criticism because otherwise they'll call those critics "racist" or "homophobic" or something else that isn't true. They take advantage of good people with good intentions to help themselves. And most of the people in America will never see. But even though I hate the liberals of today, I really truly am not trying to be biased. I don't hate liberals just for being Democrats. I just happen to not like what they're doing. In fact, if this helps you believe I'm truly not hating against liberals, I think the liberals of today are an insult to Democrats, because I DO think Democrats used to stand for something good. They promoted tolerance of gays, blacks, ect... Liberals now days pretend to do that so they get attention and stuff. So if you're a Democrat, I am not against YOU personally, because you probably have a good heart and are trying your best. It's just the liberals in office I dislike. I also dislike really powerful liberals because power goes to their heads. And that goes for the Republicans in office too. All politicians are d***s.
So yes, I'm a conservative. But am I being biased? No. I'm trying not to be.
I do think that when liberals are powerful and have access to the media, they become somewhat of monsters. They can steers what's being viewed to take THEIR side. The writers of the Simpsons admitted to being liberal. They obviously used this episode to kiss the liberals asses. It annoyed the shit out of me. And even with politics aside, it wasn't even a funny episode on any level. There were no funny jokes, no heartfelt moments, no clever moments. It was an overall crappy episode. I'm sure the writers were just proud to get their political viewpoints out there, but they shouldn't be too proud of this episode. And please don't think I'm claiming it was a bad episode JUST because I'm a Conservative. Like I said, politics aside, it was still unfunny and poorly done. Political views and bias have NOTHING to do with my opinion on that.
Anyway, that's all. If you're a Democrat, don't be too offended. I know you probably like the liberal officials, but it's just my opinion that they're corrupt and stuff. Also, if you like Lisa, don't be offended. I don't hate her like you may think. I don't even hate that she's a liberal. I just think she was being a d*** in this particular episode. Most of the time she's fine. And if you are a liberal and you think I'm a biased right-wing conservative, I'm not. Try to understand but if you can't, your loss.
Thanks for listening to my rants and stuff.

My New Years Resolution

I know I'm a day late, but Happy New Year anyway.

My new years resolution is to do one good deed every day. To be clear, I'm not some horrible person who is trying to make up for my horribleness, and I'm also not limiting myself to only one good deed. But it's rare that people do good deeds every single day. And besides eating and sleeping and breathing, there isn't much I do every single day. It's a good challenge and hopefully I can do a lot of good deeds in 2014.

Another thing I want to do in 2014 is learn to play the guitar. It was actually my resolution last year, but I failed, so I guess I'll try again this year.

One more thing I'll attempt in 2014 is be more patient with idiots. I'm not really a bad tempered person, but I get visibly annoyed with unintelligent people, and I probably should be more patient with them. After all, they are... well, unintelligent. They probably don't understand why I'm pissed off sometimes.

I guess those are all my resolutions for now.

Happy New Year!
